<aside> 💡 Your cable is brand new and you just unpacked it. But something is not working.

STEP 1

<aside> 💡 If your cable doesn’t seem to work please follow these steps:

  1. Turn off your computer.
  2. Turn off your camera.
  3. Unplug all cables from your camera and computer (also power cables).
  4. Remove all accessories from your camera (flashes, other cables etc.)
  5. Remove batteries from your camera.
  6. Remove all accessories from your computer (Hubs, printers, etc.
  7. Wait 2 Minutes
  8. Plug in the power cable of your computer.
  9. Turn on your computer.
  10. Start Capture One or Lightroom tethering.
  11. Plug your COBRAUNION cable into your computer.
  12. Plug your COBRAUNION cable into your camera.
  13. Turn on your camera.

<aside> 💡

For all 10M cables make sure the cable is plugged in the right way. The 10M cables have indicators where the computer plug and where the camera plug need to be plugged in.

<aside> 💡 Sometimes there are still currents on computers USB ports and camera ports causing problems with new connections.

If possible try connecting your new cable to a different computer and/or camera, to make sure computer and/or camera aren’t the issue.

Your cable should work now. If not: continue to next step.

STEP 2

<aside> 💡 If your cable is still not connecting please follow these steps before contacting us.

For this step the camera and the computer must be connected through the tether cable and turned on. Please disconnect any other device such as screens, USB Hubs, docking stations or external hard drives.

  1. Go to: System Settings

  2. Go to: General

  3. Go to: About

  4. Go to: System Report

  5. In the new window, find “USB”

  6. Make the top part of the window fully visible

  7. Expand the tree menu on the top
