If your 5-meter COBRAUNION cable works fast and reliably in one orientation, but becomes slow or does not connect when you flip it, this guide is for you.
This behavior can happen even though the 5M cable is bidirectional — the issue likely lies with your camera’s or computer’s USB-C port.
What’s Happening:
- USB-C ports have two internal sides: Side A and Side B.
- If one side of the port is worn or damaged, the connection may only work properly in one direction.
- When you flip the cable, it starts using the "damaged" side, causing slow speed or failure.
- The cable is fine — but the port’s condition affects performance.
Step-by-Step: Test and Troubleshoot
- Turn off your camera.
- Connect the 5M cable between your camera and computer.
- Turn the camera on.
- If the connection is slow or fails, turn the camera off again.
Step 1: Test the Camera Side
- Unplug the USB-C connector on the camera side only.
- Flip the camera-side connector (rotate 180°) and plug it back in.
- Turn the camera back on.
➡️ Test the connection:
- If the speed improves: ✅ Problem identified. Your cameras female connector has a faulty USB-C side.
