If your 10-meter COBRAUNION cable isn’t connecting to your camera, but your shorter cable works fine, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Step-by-step Instructions:
- Turn off your camera.
- Connect the 10M cable to both your camera and computer.
- Turn the camera on.
- If the camera does not connect, turn it off again.
- Unplug the USB-C connector on the camera side only.
- Flip the connector (rotate it 180°) and plug it back in.
Does the camera connect now?
✅ Yes:
This likely means your camera’s USB-C port is partially damaged and only makes a proper connection on one side. Here’s why:
- USB-C ports have two sides: Side A and Side B.
- Our 10M cables are unidirectional, meaning they are designed to send data in one fixed direction: from the camera to the computer.
- If one side of the USB-C port is worn out, the cable can’t make a stable connection unless it's inserted in the direction that still works.
- Shorter cables or bidirectional cables don’t show this issue because they can communicate from either side of the port.
You can confirm this by trying the 10M cable with a different camera. If it works there, the issue is with your original camera's USB-C port.
❌ No:
